Analytics: Understanding how your campaigns perform

Lisa Fockens Updated by Lisa Fockens

The Analytics page has been designed to help you measure the performance of your campaigns and improve their impact on your business. Let us guide you through through the different sections of your Analytics.

Metrics definitions

Pageviews: The number of times a page on your website is viewed or loaded. More details here

Sessions: The number of visits to your website. After a period of inactivity (typically 30 minutes), the session ends and a new session begins. One session typically counts multiple pageviews.

Clicks: The number of times visitors clicked on a CTA button on your Wisepops campaign(s).

  • For popups, you can define inside the popup builder whether you want to count clicks on a CTA button.
  • Also for popups, even if a campaign includes several CTA buttons, we will only count one click max per visitor per campaign.

Displays: The number of times your visitors viewed your Wisepops campaign(s).

  • For popups with a tab activated before the popup is displayed, we count the display only when the tab is clicked.
  • For notifications, we count one display for each of the notifications displayed in the notification feed, when the feed is opened.

Reach: The percentage of sessions where visitors viewed at least one Wisepops campaign.

  • For notifications , we count one visitor reached if they opened the notification feed with at least one notification inside.

Click-Through-Rate (CTR): The number of Clicks divided by number of Displays.

Emails: The number of emails you collected with your Wisepops campaigns.

Phone Numbers: The number of phone numbers you collected with your Wisepops campaigns.

Chart

The most important section in the Analytics is the chart. In this chart, you can visualize the trend of your performance metrics over the selected time period. On top of the chart is the aggregated (sum or average) value of your metrics over the selected time period.

Selecting the metrics to display

By clicking on the the "Metrics" box on the left, you can toggle on and off the metrics to display in the boxes over the chart. You can then choose which metrics to display in the chart by checking these boxes (maximum 4 metrics displayed in the chart at the same time).

Filtering your metrics

You can filter metrics according to the following dimensions :

  • Channels: Popups (includes bars and embeds) and/or Notifications
  • Campaigns: after selecting one channel, you can select specific campaigns
  • Page: you can choose to display metrics only for the selected pages of your website
  • Country: you can choose to display metrics only for the selected countries
  • Device: you can choose to display metrics only for mobile or desktop devices
Performance tables

The tables under the charting section give you insights on the performances of your campaigns across different dimensions, ranked by descending order of Displays. Available tables are:

  • Top campaigns - showing your top performing campaigns
  • Top pages - showing which pages on your websites drove the most Displays and Clicks for your Wisepops campaigns
  • Devices - showing you the breakdown of your Wisepops campaigns across Mobile and Desktop devices
  • Top countries - showing you which countries drove the most Displays and Clicks for your Wisepops campaigns
The filters you select on top of the Analytics page apply to all the data displayed in the Analytics page, including the performance tables. So if you select the "Mobile only" filter, the performance tables will only show you the performance of your campaigns on Mobile devices.
