Billing options
We're flexible! Choose between:
Monthly billing: Pay on the same day each month
Annual billing: Pay upfront for the year and save big (equivalent to two months free)
Changing your plan
Need to upgrade or downgrade? No problem! You can switch plans anytime during your billing cycle. We use proration to keep things fair:
If you upgrade, you'll be charged the difference for the remaining time in your billing cycle
If you downgrade, you'll get credit for your next invoice
Example: Upgrading from $50/month to $100/month halfway through the month? You'll pay an extra $25 (half the difference).
When paying your Wisepops subscription through a Shopify store, the prorations are handled by Shopify.
Understanding pageviews
A pageview is counted each time a webpage with the Wisepops code loads. This includes:
Regular page loads
Page reloads
Custom events (they count as pageviews too!)
We count all pageviews, even if no campaign is displayed. This gives you a complete picture of your site's traffic.
Estimating monthly pageviews
To choose the right plan, you'll need to estimate your monthly pageviews. Here's a quick way using Google Analytics:
Log into Google Analytics
Go to Audience > Overview
Set the date range to one month (pick a high-traffic month)
Check the "Pageviews" number
Once you've installed Wisepops, we'll track and display your pageviews on your dashboard.
Monitoring pageview consumption
Keeping an eye on your pageview usage is crucial to avoid surprises on your bill. Here's how to stay on top of your consumption:
Dashboard monitoring: Check your Wisepops Dashboard anytime to see your current pageview usage. We display this information prominently so you can quickly gauge where you stand.\
Email alerts: We'll send email notifications to all admin users on your account when:
You're approaching your monthly pageview limit (usually at 80% and 90%)
You've reached your monthly pageview limit
You start consuming Extra Pageviews (if enabled)
Monthly reset: Your pageview count resets on the first day of each month, aligning with your billing cycle.
Historical data: Access your past pageview consumption in the Billing section of your account. This can help you identify trends and plan for future needs.
Reaching pageview limits
What happens when you hit your limit? It depends on whether you've enabled Extra Pageviews:
With Extra Pageviews: Your campaigns keep running, and you'll be charged for the extra views at the end of the month
Without Extra Pageviews: Your campaigns stop displaying until you upgrade, enable Extra Pageviews, or your quota resets next month
Extra pageviews
The Extra Pageviews are not available if you're billed through your Shopify store. Please contact our support to disable Shopify billing if you require Extra Pageviews.
Extra Pageviews are a safety net for unexpected traffic spikes. Here's what you need to know:
Cost: 1.5x your plan's base rate
Billing: Charged at the end of the month
Limits: You can't use more than double your plan's pageviews
Alerts: We'll email you when you start using Extra Pageviews
To enable or disable Extra Pageviews, head to your Billing settings.
Remember, we're here to help you grow! If you're consistently exceeding your pageview limit, it might be time to consider upgrading your plan. Don't hesitate to reach out if you need advice on choosing the right plan for your needs.
