  3. Click your sign-up form,

  6. Select your destination list. This is your Mailchimp Audience:

And voilà! Your new leads collected by Wisepops are synced with Mailchimp in seconds.

Use Mailchimp tags

You can tag the leads synced by Wisepops thanks to Mailchimp tags. It allows you to easily organize your contacts based on their source of collection.

To configure a tag that should be added to all leads synced by Wisepops, type the name(s) in the tags field:

Currently, your existing tags aren't fetched from Mailchimp. You need to type the exact tag name, then click "Create". Even if your tag already exists in Mailchimp.

Work with Mailchimp Groups

Mailchimp Groups are a powerful feature to group your contacts by their interests and preferences. You can sync leads to Mailchimp groups. Simply choose Mailchimp groups as "Merge with" value.

You can automatically assign a group to the subscriber by using a hidden field. Or let them choose their groups, for example by using checkboxes:

Be careful to use the exact name of your Mailchimp group as the Wisepops value, it is case-sensitive.

Tips

Troubleshooting

If you don't see emails in your MailChimp list, there's a high probability that it's related to one of the following reasons:

  1. Are you sure that people are signed up? As a reminder, emails input in the website preview are not synced.

  2. Check if your list has a required field in it (such as the first name). In that case, please make sure your have a Wisepops field matching this required field; or change your MailChimp list settings so that it has no required field.

  3. MailChimp will automatically filter out emails that are already in your MailChimp list. So make sure to test your pop-up with an email that's not already in your list otherwise it will not be synchronized.
