Adding more fields to your form
Updated over a month ago

Looking to segment your list or make your forms more user-friendly? In this guide, you'll learn how to add more fields to your Wisepops campaign, create a multi-step form, and use hidden fields for seamless data collection.

Adding Additional Fields

To add more fields to your Wisepops campaign, follow these steps:

  1. Add a Signup Form to your campaign. You can create a form from scratch or use a template from our library. Any campaign type (popup, flyout, or embed) can have multiple fields.

  2. From the campaign builder, click on your form and go to the "fields" tab.

  3. On the left side menu, click on the (+) sign.

  1. Choose the type of field you'd like to add from the dropdown menu.

  1. Edit the form fields and rename each field in the left sidebar

  2. You can re-order your fields with a simple drag-and-drop.

Creating a Multi-Step Form

Breaking your form into smaller steps makes it easier for site visitors to convert into subscribers. To create a multi-step form:

  1. Click on your form to open the form settings

  2. Go to the Button tab from the left panel

  3. Activate the multi-step form by pressing the toggle button.

Adding Hidden Fields

Hidden form fields are invisible to users when completing a form but can be automatically populated with data.

Hidden fields can be used to collect various types of data, such as UTM parameters, URL information, geolocation data, or traffic source details.

To add a hidden field to your Wisepops form:

  1. Click on your form.

  2. Click on the (+) sign to add a field

  3. Select "Hidden Field" in the dropdown

  1. Enter a name for the field in the ID column and the value you want to set for this field

  2. Choose to populate the field with a custom value or contextual data that are collected automatically (e.g., country, traffic channel, etc.).

By adding additional fields, creating multi-step forms, and using hidden fields, you can improve your Wisepops campaigns and collect valuable data for better list segmentation and user experience.
