Compliance with Shopify's Customer Privacy

Updated today

Wisepops integrates with the Shopify's Customer Privacy API. We adhere to the Customer Privacy settings you have selected in your Shopify account. These settings dictate how we use cookies to collect and store data for your online store visitors in the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland.

What impact does this have on my Wisepops account?

Based on your Customer Privacy settings in Shopify, Wisepops may load for visitors to your Shopify store in the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland, only after they have provided consent.

Online store visitors in the European regions mentioned above who have not provided consent for onsite marketing tracking are excluded from your Wisepops campaigns.

How do I review my privacy settings?

As a Shopify merchant, you have control over the privacy settings for your store. We will follow the settings that you choose. You can review your Shopify settings by navigating to Settings > Customer privacy within the Shopify Admin.

I don't want Wisepops to adhere to the Shopify Customer Privacy settings

There may be times when you want to keep your store settings as they are, but want Wisepops to ignore the Shopify Customer Privacy API. To do this, please contact our support.

Troubleshooting

Does Wisepops still not load after the visitor has accepted cookies? There may be a misconfiguration with Shopify and the Cookie Consent Manager, which is likely to impact all your Shopify apps. Please refer to the following documentation pages for the most popular services, or contact their support.
