Exporting your data

Lisa Fockens Updated by Lisa Fockens

Whether you want to analyze the results of a single campaign or compare multiple campaigns over a specific period, our platform makes it simple. This guide will walk you through the steps to download emails or survey results from your campaigns, and also provide a solution for any encoding issues you might encounter with Microsoft Excel.

Downloading data from a specific campaign

You can easily download the emails or survey results of a specific campaign. Here's how:

  1. Access your campaigns dashboard.
  2. Identify the campaign you're interested in.
  3. Next to your chosen campaign, click on the "..." button to reveal more options.
  4. In the dropdown menu, find the option labeled "Download contacts" and click on it.
  • If your campaign is structured as a survey, instead of "Download contacts", look for and select "Download answers."
  • If your campaign features a call to action but does not include a survey or sign-up form element, the appropriate option will be labeled "Export data."

And there you have it! With these steps, you can easily download the necessary data from a specific campaign. Your data will be downloaded and sent to your mailbox in a csv file.

Downloading data from multiple campaigns or over a specific period

If you need data from multiple campaigns or from a certain time frame, follow these steps:

  1. Log into your account and navigate to the Analytics page.
  2. Choose the campaigns you want to export by selecting them in the top menu.
  3. Pick the relevant date range in the upper right corner.
  4. Click on "Export to CSV"

Important: The new analytics interface does not support downloading contacts collected from multiple campaigns or over a specific period. To access this feature, switch to the old experience using the toggle in the upper right corner.

Voila! Your data is ready for download.

Troubleshooting Encoding Issues with Microsoft Excel

Our CSV is UTF-8 encoded, which supports all languages and works well with various services. However, Microsoft Excel sometimes has trouble recognizing this encoding. If you're experiencing issues, follow these steps to open your data export with Excel.

Understanding your campaign data is key to improving your marketing strategies, and we hope this guide has made it easier for you to access and utilize this data.
