Uninstall the app
To remove Wisepops from Shopify, you just need to uninstall our application in your shop admin interface (/admin/apps).
For most stores, that's all you need to do.
Please note that if you are currently paying a Wisepops subscription through Shopify, the current period will still be fully charged.
Legacy: remove the snippet (older installations only)
This section only applies if you installed Wisepops before 2022, when the integration required adding a snippet to your theme. Newer installs can skip this entirely.
You can also just leave the snippet in place. It won't impact your site performance — once the app is uninstalled, the JS listener it creates never fires.
If you'd still like to clean it up, follow these steps in order:
In
Layout/theme.liquid, remove this line near the end of the file:{% include 'wisepops-generated' %}Save the change
Delete the file
Snippets/wisepops-generated.liquid
Save the change
